The European Space Agency has, after a competitive tender, selected Space Applications Services NV/SA to study concepts for platforms and facilities in low Earth orbit as well as the associated infrastructure services such as ground segment, transportation, and communication that need to be established to meet ESA’s and commercial needs in preparation for post International Space Station operations. This activity is performed under a programme of and funded by the European Space Agency.
The work will start a consultation with potential commercial research and industrial customers and partners, be followed by the establishment of viable partnership models covering development and operations and will conclude with the establishment of draft partnership agreements.
