Internship Position
In the context of several research and development projects focused on autonomous systems and robotics, we are seeking a motivated intern to contribute to the development of online planning algorithms and techniques for both single-agent and multi-agent robotic platforms.
The successful intern will participate in the design, implementation, and testing of path planning and coordination strategies for mobile robots. This internship is hosted by the RSI division and may be organized to satisfy the requirements of a Master Thesis.
Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
Duration: 6 months
Start date: As of October 2026
Tasks and Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, and optimize online planning algorithms for robotic agents operating in dynamic environments.
Investigate and implement coordination strategies for multi-agent systems, focusing on decentralized and centralized planning approaches.
Integrate and test planning components on both simulated and physical robotic platforms.
Support the deployment of software components and integration of sensors for real-time perception and planning.
