Position
We are looking for a Product Assurance & Safety (PA&S) Engineer to ensure mission reliability, regulatory compliance, and safety throughout development and production cycles. The role involves establishing and maintaining PA and safety requirements in line with ECSS, EN9100, and relevant international standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and safety of our products throughout the full development and production lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, the candidate will drive quality standards, support risk and hazard management activities, and ensure all processes and deliverables conform to applicable institutional and regulatory frameworks.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain the PA requirements baseline; prepare project-specific PA documentation in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ECSS, EN9100, MIL)
Ensure compliance of materials, EEE components, M&P processes and supplier deliverables with applicable PA requirements
Organise, prepare, and facilitate control board meetings. (Parts, Radiation, Material and Process Control Boards)
Review customer and supplier documentation and perform independent PA assessments
Contribute to technical and managerial project reviews (PDR, CDR, QR, CCNs)
Oversee control of MAIT processes in cleanroom and laboratory environments, including routine inspections of flight hardware
Manage non-conformities (NCR/SRR), waivers, deviations, and support risk management processes
Participate in:
Internal and supplier audits, in line with industry practices implemented by ESA and other stakeholders
Safety Review Boards with ESA, NASA, and other agencies
Define and maintain Safety requirements baseline for assigned projects
Perform safety analyses and develop Safety Data Packages, Safety Certificates, Hazard Analyses, FMECA, and Maintenance Safety Assessments in compliance with ECSS, ISS and other international standards
Provide safety input to design teams, ensuring compliance with safety-critical engineering best practices

Skills and Experience
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a any related technical discipline
3 to 5 years of professional experience in a Product Assurance, Quality, or Systems Engineering role, preferably within the space, defense, or aerospace industry
Knowledge of ECS, MIL, ISO 9001, and EN9100 standards frameworks
Experience with EEE components, Materials & Processes, configuration management, and cleanroom practices
Understanding system-level safety engineering, including hazard identification, mitigation, and verification.
