Search and Rescue Robotics - From Theory to Practice Book is published

The Robotics team of Space Applications Services was involved in the EU-FP7 ICARUS ( project which focused on developing an integrated set of unmanned search and rescue tools consisting of assistive unmanned air, ground, and sea vehicles, equipped with victim-detection sensors. The unmanned vehicles collaborate as a coordinated team as they are seamlessly integrated into the multi-robot multi-domain command and control systems developed by Space Applications Services in collaboration with project partners.

Shashank Govindaraj, Pierre Letier and Jeremi Gancet are, with others, co-authors of a book describing the systems and results from ICARUS – “Search and Rescue Robotics - From Theory to Practice”, ISBN 978-953-51-3376-6, published under open access by InTech on August 23rd.
